Today's Sunday Brunch with Mel & Brian recipe comes from the king of brunch himself, Bobby Flay. Sometimes you just have to leave it to the professionals and understand that there's no use in trying to one up a recipe this good. While I'd love to push my own recipes out every week, I've got to give credit where credit is due and share the love. A recipe like this is too good to keep to ourselves. Check out the pin above or click the link to get the recipe from the Cooking Channel.
The recipe name is a handful to say out loud but boy is it worth it. On the rare weekend with nothing to do, I love sipping coffee and taking in all the goodness the Food Network or Cooking Channel have to offer. Brunch With Bobby is one of my favorites. Not only is the man a stud, but the man can cook (maybe that's what makes him a stud), making him all the more attractive.
"I can cook a lot of things, but omelets are not one of them. This recipe; however, is totally manageable and absolutely delicious."
My husband loves it when Bobby claims that I don't have finesse in the kitchen because I can't make an omelet (okay it was a general statement to all his viewers but I swear it was directed at me...) and gives me grief about it every time I try. I can cook a lot of things, but omelets are not one of them. This recipe; however, is totally manageable and absolutely delicious.
Flay's recipe walks you through how to make the best relish you'll ever eat and then discusses step by step how to poach an egg (yes, you can absolutely do this). The saltiness of the pancetta balance the sweet and tangy flavor of the relish so perfectly that your taste buds will be howling for more. It's a sad moment when you've cleared your plate, but is a recipe you'll keep going back to time and again.
